In Nebraska, any person leaving a child not older than 30 days in the custody of an employee on duty at a hospital licensed by the State of Nebraska shall not be prosecuted for any crime based solely upon the act of relinquishment.  After accepting custody, the hospital shall contact the concerned authorities to transfer custody of the child.[i]
